People travel from far and wide to view the icebergs off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. But this is just the tip of the iceberg! With Ocean Quest you will trace the path of these majestical glacial deposits from their calving grounds in Greenland, along Iceberg Alley, to Newfoundland and Labrador. Each day you will explore the crystal clear Arctic waters of Fjords carved by glaciers that covered this land eons ago, sheltered inlets and bays that hold ancient secrets of the Inuit people and early European explorers and be one of the lucky few onboard to bring home tales of more than just the tip of the ‘berg. Topside, you will accommodate Adventure Canada guides on zodiac tours, hikes, and educational sessions to Inuit communities, abandoned settlements of early missionaries and explorers and spiritual locations of the Labrador Inuit in Nunatsiavut; rich with Arctic culture, history and wildlife! This tour can’t be all fun and games though.. guests will be have plenty of relaxation opportunities to break up their days. Kick back and enjoy the fully stocked library, perhaps a short (or long) visit to the sauna and hot tub area, and share some tales with other patrons over a drink in one of the many lounge rooms or outdoor dining areas.
