RMS Ascania

One of the largest passenger liners to sink off the coast of Newfoundland. It was salavaged by the Royal Navy in 1918, but there remains plenty to explore of this gigantic ship.

SS Rose Castle

Sister ship of the Strathcona, the Rose Castle was the first ship sunk on November 2, 1942. It is the deepest, best preserved, and least explore of the Bell Island shipwrecks.

PLM-27

The Free French ship PLM-27 was the last of the Bell Island wrecks to be sunk on November 2, 1942. It is the shallowest and most documented of the four wrecks

SS Saganaga

The very first of the Bell Island shipwrecks to be sunk by German forces in 1942.

SS Lord Strathcona

The second ship to be sunk on September 5, 1942, and the only Bell Island shipwreck to result in no loss of life.
